Channing’s First Birthday and A Fun Halloween

We celebrated Channing’s First Birthday last weekend. We had a cupcake party with family and friends. She got lots of clothes and fun toys, although she was much more interested in being a clown that opening her presents! She loved eating her cupcake and was quite a little mess by the end of the party!

 

We had a great time and hope everyone else did too!

 

Halloween was so much fun this year. We took the kids to see Lulu and Papa Check, Mamaw and Grandpa, then went to Hillside’s Trunk or Treat with Daddy and Mimi.

 

   

 

11 Months Old

 

 

Channing is 11 months old…I cannot believe that she is almost a year old!  The year has just flown by.  Channing says “Mama”, “Dada”, “hi”, and “shhooooweee”.  She mimics Campbell and I all of the time.  She is finally crawling and has almost given up the army crawl.  She is walking behind her push toy, although she has crashed several times.  She and Campbell are so cute playing together…he is a great big brother.  She weighs about 22 pounds and is wearing 12 month clothes now.  We are planning for an awesome 1st birthday party with family and friends.  See you soon!

9 months and 10 months

Channing at 10 months, August 28, 2011.  She is so ornery!!! She is still doing the “army crawl” (check out the red knees in the picture), pulling up on everything, and putting everything in her mouth!!! It is so cool to see her little personality emerging…a quiet, laid back Campbell, she is NOT!  She is so busy, but sooo much fun. She is eating real person food, thank goodness no more baby food to buy!  She has her bottom teeth and just cut both of her top teeth this month.  She has started feeding herself bites and drinking from her sippy cup.  She and Campbell are starting to play together and big brother is enjoying all of these “new” toys he used to play with.  Time just passes so fast…she will be a year old before we know it!

8 Months Today

Channing turned 8 months today!  She is getting so big and is quite full of herself! She smiles and laughs all of the time and has recently started to give kisses…sometimes wet, sloppy ones, but yummy yummy kisses! She is scooting and trying oh so hard to crawl. She can say Mama and Dada and a lot of other undetermined babble. She is quite loud and quite verbal. Campbell is having fun with her and tries to play with her.  She just wants to take his cars and tractors or pull his hair, which he does NOT think is cool at all.

6 and 7 Month Old Pictures

My, my, my, how time flies! Channing turned 7 months old a few days ago! She is getting so big and is doing so much! She got her first tooth on April 26th, just before she turned 6 months old.  The second quickly followed on May 10th.  We have just started stage 2 baby food, 3 times a day and she loves to eat!!! She is sitting up by herself and screams and babbles constantly, which her Daddy says is typical female…LOL! She sleeps about 6-7 hours straight now, and Mommy cannot wait till she sleeps all night like her big brother…who, by the way, is having so much fun with his little sis. He is trying to teach her to crawl, and he sings the “Happy Birthday” song and “Jesus Loves Me” to her.  They are so precious together…Campbell even shares his tractors with her once in a while!

5 Months Old and 8 Year Anniversary Today

Channing Reece is 5 months old today.  She gets more and more fun every day! She laughs and smiles constantly and is VERY vocal…her Daddy says she is just female!  She has been eating her rice cereal twice a day now and loves it! We will be graduating to some fruits very shortly! Her brother Campbell thinks she is pretty special and is starting to play with her more and more. She is a little peach and we are so very blessed!

Kameron and I celebrate our 8th anniversary today!  We went out for a fun night this past weekend while Nana and Cambry kept the kids. We went out to eat at On The Border and went to see The Lincoln Lawyer.  We thank God for our wonderful family and our special relationship!

Catching Up!

No excuses here, just haven’t found time to blog in a while! We have been busy with birthdays and a trip, so this is a multiple topic post! February was a very busy month…we celebrated Valentine’s Day here at the house with a yummy chicken fry dinner. We also celebrated a few birthdays in February. Campbell turned two on the 25th and I am…well…older as of the 27th. Channing turned 4 months old on the 28th. They both had their checkups and are doing great. Channing weighs 14.2 pounds and is 24 3/4 inches! She is babbling a lot and can turn from her tummy to her back. She loves to play under her floor gym and rock in her cool swing. She also digs Baby Einstein videos! She took her first trip the first of March. Campbell, Channing and I went to stay with Nana and Papaw for a week and Campbell spent a few days with Mimi and Grampy in Arlington. We were happy to be back home with Daddy…especially Campbell. We are eager for warmer, less windy weather…summer will be here soon! Yeah!

3 Months Old!

Channing Reece is 3 months old today. She is smiling and laughing all the time. She is “talking” a lot and sleeps most of the night now, only waking once or twice to eat. She weighs nearly 12 pounds and is growing like a weed!
