Campbell is ONE!!!!

Campbell Isaac Walker turned ONE YEAR OLD on February 25! What a wonderful year it has been...fast and furious, but truly wonderful. He is such a laid back little fellow and is very cautious and analytical. He is still crawling 90 mph, but is walking very well holding the hand of anyone willing! He only says Mama, but we are working on that. He is 30 3/4 in. long (90th percentile), and weighs 23.8 lbs. (75th percentile). We have graduated to whole milk...no more formula YEAH! And he is eating all table food. He is becoming a little more particular about what he eats, but all in all, is a very good eater (obviously)! He loves his puppy Sampson, diced apples and bananas, Gogurt, and he likes to watch Sesame Street while eating his breakfast. He is the light of our lives and we cannot wait to see what the next year holds in store for us!
We are celebrating his birthday tomorrow...check back for that post, sure to be a hoot!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Campbell's First Valentine's Day...he's yummier than a box of chocolates!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day from the Walker family. I woke up to a dozen beautiful red roses from my sweet, loving husband. What a wonderful surprise to wake up to! We had omelets for breakfast and I am planning a special Mexican Valentine's Dinner for tonight...sour cream chicken enchiladas, homemade guacomole, and bourbon bread pudding. We hope that you have a wonderful day with your loved ones. Hug, snuggle and kiss your special Valentine today!

My New Love

I asked for Williams-Sonoma gift cards for Christmas in order to be able to purchase the mother of all slow cookers...and it has been soooo worth it! I love, love, love it! Thanks everyone and thank you Dad, for going to get it for me and to Mom, for bringing it to me! I have cooked several meals in it and it is so fabulous. It's big, it cooks even and thoroughly, its shiny, and the greatest thing about my All Clad Slow Cooker is that you can transfer from stove to oven to slow cooker, back to stove, back to oven...just whatever your little heart desires! I just browned my stew meat and onion right on the stove, then put all of the other ingredients in and put the insert into the cooker...AWESOME! And, one last thing, it is very deep, so it doesn't make a greasy mess when browning your meat on the stove. I'm all for less messy! Did I mention that I LOVE it?
Ain't she purty?

See? Right on the stove!

And no grease on the stove top...yeah!

Winter Wonderland...Again

We had about 5 1/2 more inches of snow last night and awoke to a beautiful morning. Winter is one of the reasons I love the Texas Panhandle! We have not had very snowy winters the past few years, so I am loving it. Lazy days, when we have a great excuse for not having to get out and do anything. Campbell and I played and snuggled all day long...truly heaven! We are expecting more snow next week, the weatherman says, on Sunday, Wednesday and again next weekend! Stay warm, nap often, eat well and snuggle with your loved ones!
